EASY SPRING HEIGHT GAUGE
Sometimes it’s hard to get a caliper in to get a quick spring installed height. Machine a piece of tubing or rod with a 3/4” I.D. and approx. 1.25” O.D. Make it exactly 1” long. Install a valve, drop in your bushing, a retainer and a pair of valve locks. Using a pair of calipers measure the distance between the bushing and the retainer (see pic 2). Your spring height would equal 1” plus the caliper reading.
